Robin Judkins is known as the father of New Zealand multisport. As founder of the iconic Coast to Coast race, he inspired generations of ordinary people to attempt extraordinary things and helped create an entirely new sporting movement.

But sport is only one chapter of Robin's story.

Now in his late seventies and having survived multiple heart attacks, Robin remains as restless, curious and unconventional as ever. A champion of local music, theatre, art and adventure, he has spent a lifetime pursuing ideas with boundless enthusiasm and little regard for convention. His fingerprints can be found across countless projects, communities and creative pursuits.

Part portrait, part road trip and part meditation on ageing, MULTI follows Robin as he reflects on a life lived at full speed while continuing to dream up what comes next. Through remarkable archive, intimate access and the stories of those he inspired, the film explores creativity, resilience and the enduring drive to keep moving forward.

At its heart, MULTI is not simply the story of a sporting pioneer. It is the story of a man who refused to choose just one path.
